Hi, I'm Massimiliano Mirra (Unix name: bard), and this is my virtual soapbox notebook braindump.

I spend my professional time alternating between contracting for companies and working on my own projects (here's a few). As for the rest of the time, there doesn't seem to be enough of it for patterns to emerge (ok, with some exceptions). Luckily I hack on interesting things: instant messaging clients and concepts, instant messaging servers, functional programming languages, web browsers, developer tools, OO languages, web frameworks.
